My career has been varied and interesting having worked as a partner in a global property business in London.
However, in the later years of working in my business, I gained great satisfaction and became passionate about teaching and coaching, especially helping my international colleagues with their spoken and written English.
As I managed a culturally diverse team, I understand the communication challenges faced when English is not your first language.
I also taught and mentored many graduates and business professionals for pitching and presentation skills as well as helping them to pass professional exams.
I have seen intelligent professionals, who are brilliant at their jobs, extremely stressed and lacking confidence in communicating in English.
With my help, they have now developed their confidence and received compliments about their English communication skills from their native speaking colleagues. I enjoyed seeing their progress which encouraged me to take further training and qualified as a TEFL teacher to enable me to develop programs to help other professionals gain their public speaking voice.
I love travelling and have a list of places I want to visit.
I love reading and going to the theatre.
